We spent the last few days rafting the Owyhee River with the Garrett brothers and their friend Jim. This was our first overnight trip together away from Elena. We had a great time and our babysitters are still speaking to us so I think Sprout did okay as well. Here is a picture of Karen and I ready to push off on day 2.
Corby decided to try kayaking a few of the rapids. He did really well aside from one unexpected swim. Here he is just prior to flipping.

The second night we camped out at the Birch Creek takeout. This turned into quite the cultural experience. We met another couple who were camping there as well. We ended up spending most of the night in an old barn watching Julie dance, sing, and play her harmonica. Her lack of musical talent was more than compensated for by her southern charm and crazy personality.

LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jacci and I enjoy our children the most when someone else is taking care of them.
